Traumatic events and distressing information unfortunately feature regularly in family law matters. This session will cover:

• an explanation of the concept of trauma-informed practice and recognising its importance in our work
• defining trauma, including historical and intergenerational trauma and developing an understanding of how it can impact everyone involved in family law matters
• The key principles and strategies for implementing trauma-informed practice in our work places and how we can empower families through culturally appropriate support and fostering collaboration and community connections.
